A superseded Standard is one, which is fully replaced by another Standard, which is a new edition of the same Standard.
This module of NR/L2/TRK/053 covers: a) the process for determining the repair of switch and stock rails where a detailed inspection has identified that immediate or remedial action is required; b) welding and grinding requirements in relation to remedial action; c) checks carried out both during and on completion of the remedial works; and d) lubrication following repair.
