This TR updates the transmission requirements and objectives of the LATA Switching Systems Generic Requirements (LSSGR). It focuses on switches for digital Public Switched Telephone Networks (PSTNs). Text, tables and figures have been deleted or replaced with material that applies to a digital PSTN. It is intended that the objectives and requirements be consistent with American National Standards Institutes T1.508-1992.
