PRIORITY PROCESSING OF SURVEILLANCE MESSAGES AT CCS NODES UNDER OVERLOAD
01-12-2013
Provides Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for priority processing of surveillance messages in Common Channel Signalling (CCS) nodes, Signalling Transfer Points (STPs), Service Control Points (SCPs), and Common Channel Signalling Switching Offices (CCSSOs) under overload. The primary objective of these generic requirements is to help ensure that during overload the processing priority of surveillance messages is sufficiently high so that messages that are deemed critical to the survival of the network are available to network managers and maintenance personnel.
