Diese Richtlinie gilt für Maschinen, Geräte und Bauverfahren und berücksichtigt die Verschiedenen Geräuschquellen, die üblicherweise auf Baustellen anzutreffen sind. So werden bei den Geräuschkennwerten für Maschine, die im Baustelleneinsatz (vor Ort) gewonnen wurden, die Geräuschanteile der eingesetzten Maschinen, der Einfluss der zu bearbeitenden Materialien und verhaltensbedingte Geräuschemissionen gleichermassen berücksichtigt. Es werden nur diejenigen Bauleistungen erfasst, die für Geräuschemissionen nach aussen relevant sind. Die Sanierung von Bauwerken im Inneren wird nicht betrachtet.
