Classifies three grades of sheet according to quality and two classes according to dimensional stability, for mechanical, electrical and chemical applications, and of minimum thickness 2.4 mm. Finish and physical and electrical requirements are specified, and tests for heat resistance and dimensional stability are in appendices.

This specification applies to moulded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sheet of minimum thickness 2.4 mm for mechanical, electrical and chemical applications. It does not apply to skived tape.NOTE: For applications requiring sheet of thickness less than 2.4 mm it is recommended that skived tape be used.
