Covers design, construction, marking, performance and testing of water heaters of 45 litres or more heat-storage volume, for connection directly to cold water mains. It does not apply to water heaters in which direct heating of the delivered water takes place. Tests cover rate of draw-off, heat loss, delivery characteristics, torque, leakage and hydrostatic pressure. Appendices include the general conditions of testing.
