Specifies requirements for copper and copper alloy plate, rolled bar, sheet, strip and foil for general engineering purposes. It also specifies requirements for copper for electrical purposes (alloys C11000 and C12200) and for automotive radiators (alloy C14410). Chemical composition, mechanical properties and manufacturing tolerances are specified, and appendices give purchasing guidelines and information on related composition specifications.

This Standard specifies requirements for copper and copper alloy plate, rolled bar, sheet, strip and foil for general engineering purposes. It also specifies requirements for copper for electrical purposes (alloys C11000 and C12200) and automotive radiators (alloy C14410).NOTE: Advice and recommendations on information to be supplied at the time of inquiry or order are contained in the purchasing guidelines set out in Appendix A.
