Specifies requirements for general purpose, pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) paper-based label stock.

This Standard specifies requirements for general purpose, pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) paper-based label stock.NOTES:1 Pressure-sensitive adhesive label stock is sometimes referred to as 'self-adhesive' label stock.2 Label stock is intended for conversion (by the label stock converter) to many types of paper labels for use on a variety of surfaces.3 AS 2581 specifies requirements for pressure-sensitive adhesive plastics labels for permanent use (general purpose) and AS 2776 specifies requirements for pressure-sensitive adhesive labels using plastic facestock.4 Purchasing guidelines are provided in Appendix A.
