This Standard specifies requirements for the design, construction, and testing of heavy hand hammers intended for heavy striking of wood, metal, concrete, masonry, or stone and for double-handed use.General requirements for hand hammers are specified in AS 3797.1.Designs and nomenclature of heavy hand hammers are shown in Appendix A.NOTE: Recommendations for the safe use of heavy hand hammers are given in Appendix B.
