This Standard sets out the requirements and recommendations for the safe handling and transport of dangerous cargoes in port areas. Its purpose is to provide the minimum acceptable safety requirements for facilities and their operating procedures. It includes matters relating to repair work on ships and shore installations, fire precautions and day-to-day operations.This Standard does not include coal as a dangerous cargo.
