This Standard provides guidance in the administration of customer premises integrated information technology cabling and associated equipment, and the pathways and spaces in which it is installed.This Standard covers the essential basic requirements for identification of components of the cabling and pathway systems and for the recording of installation particulars.Sophisticated systems for administration purposes, which may be justified for some installations, are not described in this Standard, but are covered in ANSI/TIA/EIA-606.
