This Standard AS/RISSB 7523.3 describes requirements for the portable emergency equipment that shall be carried by Passenger Rolling Stock.The main purpose of the requirements is to:- Define the types of portable emergency equipment to be carried by Passenger Rolling Stock.- Define the requirements for emergency equipment (where applicable).- Define quantities of emergency equipment.- Define the documentation that shall be carried relating to emergency equipment.- Define maintenance requirements for the emergency equipment.This standard applies to:- Passenger rolling stock operating on open access networks.- Passenger rolling stock not operating on open access networks may apply parts of this standard, based on the safe working systems in use and the operational environment.- The document is relevant to the design and operation lifecycle phases of Passenger Rolling Stock.- Operation of rolling stock in regards to network safeworking rules and route standards is not covered.- Rolling stock used on light rail, cane railway and monorail networks are not covered.Please note that this product is available in Excel format only. The Excel format allows users to more easily edit and comply with the standard, especially when working in the field. The decision to use Excel was based on much discussion and valuable feedback from customers of RISSB Australian Standards.
