CONTAINED IN VOL. 02.03, 2005 Defines requirements for round, aluminum-coated steel core wire used for mechanical reinforcement in the manufacture of steel reinforced aluminum conductors (ACSR). It covers wire 0.0500 up to and including 0.1900 inch (1.60 up to and including 4.80 mm) in diameter. The values given in inch-pound or SI units are regarded as separately standard. The values for each system are not exact equivalents and, therefore, each system must be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with this specification.
