This test method is intended for determining the tearing strength of leather by measuring the force required to tear a specimen cut perpendicular to the surface.

1.1This test method is intended for determining the tearing strength of leather by measuring the force required to tear a specimen cut perpendicular to the surface. This test method does not apply to wet blue.
