Dimensions and tolerances, materials, methods of manufacture, pressure/temperature ratings, marking, inspection, tests for seamless and fabricated fittings: 45° long radius elbows, 90° long and short radius elbows, 90° long radius tangent elbows, long and short radius return bends, equal and reducing tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, caps and lap-joint stub ends, of sizes 19 mm to 609.5 mm. Welding-neck flanges not included.

Part 3 of this British Standard specifies requirements for wrought seamless and fabricated carbon and ferritic alloy steel butt-welding pipe fittings for use in the petroleum industry, and is in metric units.

The following types of fittings are provided for:

45° long radius elbows;

90° long and short radius elbows;

90° long radius tangent elbows;

long and short radius return bends;

equal and reducing tees;

concentric and eccentric reducers;

caps;

lap-joint stub ends.

Welding-neck flanges are not included. They are included in BS 15601) and BS 32932).

Attention is drawn to Appendix A, which lists information to be supplied by the purchaser.
