Measures the tendency of straight (plain) mineral lubricating oil to oxidize under specific conditions. Uses the same apparatus and similar procedure to those determining the oxidation stability of Inhibited Mineral Turbine Oil, but differs in that the test time is reduced and that no catalyst and solid copper metal catalyst are used, and the degree of deterioration is given as total oxidation products per cent.
