Gives the requirements of Minyvin type cables for aircraft wiring for continuous use where the maximum stabilized conductor temperature does not exceed 105 deg C. Suitable for fixed wiring at temperatures down to -75 degrees C where ester-base fluids are present but not suitable for severe flexing at temperatures below -30 degrees C. Applies to cables where the potential between conductors or between a conductor and screen or the aircraft structure is less than 300 volts (r.m.s.), the frequency less than 1,600 Hz and can withstand a transient voltage of up to 1,500 volts. Includes maximum current ratings for Minyvin cables, method of measurement of radial thickness of nylon, long term voltage test and check voltage test.
