Dimensions of refractory bricks for use in the construction of ladles used during the manufacture of iron and steel.

This Part of BS 3056 specifies the sizes of the following shapes of refractory bricks used in the construction of ladles for the steel industry, excluding torpedo ladles:

  1. squares;
  2. splits;
  3. tile;
  4. straights;
  5. side arch bricks;
  6. end arch bricks;
  7. circle bricks;
  8. semi universal ladle bricks.

NOTE 1 The tolerances on the sizes are not specified in this Part, and may be the subject of agreement between manufacturer and purchaser.
