Describes coffee mills and coffee grinders having hoppers with a capacity not exceeding 500 g of coffee beans, and intended for household use. Coffee grinding and coffee milling attachments used in combination with multi-purpose kitchen machines are within the scope of this standard. Appliances used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary. In many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities.
