Describes electric spin extractors with a load capacity not exceeding 10 kg of dry textile material and a container peripheral speed not exceeding 50 m/s. Spin extractors in electric washing machines are included. Spin extractors not intended for normal household use, but which nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, are within the scope of this standard. Excludes spin extractors for commercial laundries. Spin extractors used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary. In many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities and the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour.
