Describes requirements for electrical appliances for household purposes to be used for the treatment of skin or hair of persons or animals and with heating elements incorporated. Also applies to electric heaters for non-electric devices for skin or hair treatment. Appliances used by hair dressers, and with steam-producing or spray-producing devices are within the scope of this section. Does not apply to appliances designed exclusively for industrial purposes, appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, and appliances for medical purposes. Appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary.
