Details tensile creep strain and rupture tests of aircraft metallic materials giving properties that may be required and the terms used in describing tests and test pieces. States dimensions of standard test pieces and the standard testing method. The duration of the creep strain and creep rupture tests shall be within the range 20-30,000 hours. Suitable for tests of shorter duration than 20 hours provided agreement is reached, between the interested parties, concerning the tolerances on the temperature and the soaking time.
