METHODS OF TEST FOR RUBBER AND PLASTICS HOSES AND HOSE ASSEMBLIES - ENVIRONMENTAL TESTS - DETERMINATION OF LOW TEMPERATURE FLEXIBILITY

Superseded date

04-15-1993

Published date

11-23-2012

Describes two methods for assessing whether a rubber of plastics hose retains adequate flexibility at sub-ambient temperatures. Method A is suitable for non-collapsible hose with a bore size up to 25 mm. Measures increase in stiffness compared to flexibility at standard laboratory temperature. Method B is a simpler, qualitative method for control testing and is applicable to hose with a bore size up to 100 mm. BS AMD 7524 RENUMBERS THIS STANDARD TO BS EN 24672
