Gives uniform representation of human sexes for interchange of information. Aims to: reduce the time required to record and/or format representation of sexes and transmit them; improve clarity and accuracy; minimize human intervention for communicating representation of sexes; and reduce costs. Does not need file sequences, storage media, programming languages, etc. for its implementation. Suitable for most applications that need to code human sexes. Excludes specific medical and scientific applications and applications that need to code sex information for other than human beings. Provides a numeric code independent of language-derived codes and forms a common basis for international exchange of information.
