Defines requirements for testing and examining of new escalators and passenger conveyors covered by BS EN 115, prior to being put into service. Does not define such requirements for testing and examination of equipment following modernization or for periodic examination. Also includes a requirements for provision of test certificates relative to certain components of the equipment.
