Gives current carrying capacity tests to be carried out when called for by the detail specification, for electromechanical components. Applicable to similar devices when specified in a detail specification. Includes sections on temperature rise and current temperature derating.

The tests contained herein, when required by the detail specification, shall be used for electromechanical components within the scope of Technical Committee No. 48. 1)

They may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification.
