Provides a general methodology and recommendations for the selection of an appropriate choice of glass, plastics glazing sheet material and method of glazing.

This part of BS6262 gives a general methodology and recommendations for the selection of an appropriate choice of glass, plastics glazing sheet material and method of glazing. These recommendations do not apply to: glazing for furniture and fittings (see BSEN12521 and BSEN14749); glazing for commercial greenhouses (see BSEN13031‑1); and glazing for domestic greenhouses.
