Gives a method of testing fabrics for their linting propensity. Suitable for all fabrics.

This British Standard describes a method of testing fabrics for their linting propensity. The test is applicable to all fabrics.

NOTE 1. Absolute values will not normally be possible, but the method is suitable for comparisons between a wide range of surgical fabrics and between a wide range of clean room fabrics. The results may be used to assess the initial cleanliness and the lint generating potential of base/composite materials but should not be applied to end products.

NOTE 2. The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.
