Gives guidance for the calibration and installation of equipment for the use of the two transducer version of TOFD, both to locate and size flaws as a result of linear scanning. May be applied to a wide range of test geometries. Covers principles of the technique, equipment required, basic considerations, setting-up procedures, accuracy of measurement, errors due to the lateral uncertainty in the flaw position, errors due to index point migration, scanner induced and replacement errors, estimation of reflector depth and height and interpretation of the results.
