An Landmaschinen werden Klappstecker wegen ihrer Einfachheit und Sicherheit für schnell lösbare Sicherungen an Achsen, Steckbolzen oder Wellen verwendet. Wesentlicher Bestandteil ist der Federbügel, der mit einer Vorspannkraft gegen den Stecker klappt. Ausser den beiden Bohrungen, die die Enden des Federstahldrahtes aufnehmen, ist oberhalb ein drittes Loch vorgesehen, um dort ein Sicherungselement, z.B. eine Kette, anbringen zu können.
