Amendments

In conjunction with DIN 1304 Part 1, specifies letter symbols for quantities specific to electrical communications engineering. Letter symbols specified in DIN 1304 Part 1 have been included here only as far as their meaning differs or has been restricted. In the 'Symbols' column, the main symbols are given first, followed (in some cases) by the reserve symbol(s) which may be selected where the main symbol is used to indicate something else. The symbols given in brackets have been adopted from IEC 60027-2:1972, IEC60027-2A:1975 and IEC60027-2B:1980.
