    Die B-Festkupplung nach dieser Norm wird auf Armaturen und Stutzen aufgeschraubt. Sie dient zum Anschluss von B-Druck- und B-Blindkupplungen sowie von B-C- und A-B-Übergangsstücken. Anmerkung: Soll für besondere Anforderungen (z. B. Öleinsatz, aggressive Atmosphäre oder Flüssigkeiten) eine B-Festkupplung nach DIN 86205 (aus Kupfer-Zink-Legierung nach DIN 17673 Teil 1) oder eine B-Festkupplung aus nichtrostendem Stahlguss nach DIN 17445 geliefert werden, ist dies zu vereinbaren.
