Die D-Blindkupplung nach dieser Norm dient zum Abschluss von Geräten und Armaturen sowie von Druck- und Saugschläuchen. Anmerkung: Soll für besondere Anforderungen (z. B. Öleinsatz, aggressive Atmosphäre oder Flüssigkeiten) eine D-Blindkupplung aus Kupfer-Zink-Legierung nach DIN 17660 oder aus nichtrostendem Stahlguss nach DIN 17445 geliefert werden, ist dies zu vereinbaren.
