    This Standard is included in DIN Handbook 171. Applies to collars and flanges made from glass fibre reinforced plastics (GRP) on the basis of unsaturated polyester resins (UP resins) and to joint rings made from elastomeric materials. The collars, flanges and joint rings are intended for use in flanged joints on pipes as specified in DIN 16965 Part 1, Part 2, Part 4 and Part 5 and on fittings as specified in DIN 16966 Part 2, Part 4 and Part 5. The collars, flanges and the joint assemblies made from these shall conform to the requirements of DIN 19966 Part 7.
