This Standard is included in DIN Handbook 141 E. This standard, in conjunction with DIN 1988 Parts 2 to 8, applies to drinking water supply systems ('systems', for short) inside buildings and their curtilages. It specifies requirements for the design, installation, operation and maintenance of an alterations to such systems giving particular attention to the responsibilities of the parties involved, establishes concepts associated with water supply systems and specifies graphical symbols and codes for the components and appliances used.
