Applies to flame cleaning for preparing surfaces of materials such as steel without metallic coating, with a sheet thickness of more than 5 mm, so as to obtain surface preparation grade FI, and plain or reinforced concrete building elements which will be coated or receive surface protection systems. Requirements for the flame cleaning procedure, quality requirements, apparatus, personnel and evaluation and test of flame cleaned surfaces are specified.
