A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

The method described serves to determine aluminium in drinking water and in water with a low pollution level, in concentrations (by mass) from 0,01 to 0,5 mg/l, any decomposition necessary (see clause 3) narrowing the field of application to a range from 0,05 to 0,5 mg/l. For higher aluminium contents, the water sample shall be diluted accordingly.
