TESTING THE FROST RESISTANCE OF ROOFING TILES; FREEZE-THAW TEST WITH UPPER SIDE FREEZING AFTER SPRINKLING WITH WATER
11-01-1998
01-12-2013
The test method described serves to assess the frost resistance of roofing riles ('tiles', for short). The test conditions specified are intended to simulate the effects of natural frost on the visible faces of tiles. By sprinkling tiles with water during the freezing process, the conditions that result from melting snow, for example, are simulated. The test procedure is largely automatic.
