Covers the determination of the thermal conductivity of materials or the equivalent thermal conductivity in the case of materials laminated concentrically to the tube axis. The tube method can be used for tubular homogeneous or approximately homogeneous, and laminated specimens (hollow cylinders) if the thermal conductivity is less than 1 W (K.m) and the specimen lies close to the testing tube without forming layers of air (see Section 7.1). It is suitable for temperatures of the testing tube to 1000 degree C.
