Verschlussschrauben nach dieser Norm können zum Verschliessen von Entwässerungs- und nicht benötigten Anschlussbohrungen mit zylindrischem Innengewinde nach DIN ISO 228 Teil 1 (z. B. an Luftbehältern) verwendet werden. Sie erfüllen die Forderung nach einer Druckwarneinrichtung für Druckräume ohne eigenes Druckmessgerät, die betriebsmässig geöffnet werden (TRB 404, Ausgabe 01.84, Abschnitte 4.2 und 4.4). Die Verschlussschrauben eignen sich zum Einschrauben in Stahl und Leichtmetall.
