A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Defines technical acceptance conditions for surface grinding machines with vertical grinding wheel spindle and round table. They comprise preparatory measures, geometrical testings on the machine (accuracy of manufacture) and practical testings on geometrical testings on the machine (accuracy of manufacture) and practical testings on the workpiece (working accuracy). The test conditions conform to 8601 (successor issue at present circulating as draft), see Explanations.
