Diese Technische Spezifikation gilt für aktive, oberflächenmontierte Glasbruchmelder, die in Gebäuden installiert sind, und sieht vier Sicherheitsgrade von 1 bis 4 (siehe EN 50131-1) für exklusiv oder nicht exklusiv verdrahtete oder drahtlose Melder vor und verwendet die Umweltklassen 1 bis 4 (siehe EN 50130-5). Diese Technische Spezifikation enthält keine Anforderungen an aktive, oberflächenmontierte Glasbruchmelder, die für Aussenanwendungen bestimmt sind.
