This standard is included in DIN Handbook 74. Gives the criteria of corkment underlay with linoleum cement as binder, supplied in the form of sheets. Corkment underlay is combined with floor coverings for better impact sound reduction. Performance is dependent upon the combination of corkment and the kind of floor covering used as well as installation of both. Manufacturers' instructions should be adhered to, to ensure that corkment underlay is used correctly.
