Diese Norm legt die Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für die Fingerprintprüfung und die Typprüfung an lösemittelfreien aushärtbaren Reaktionsharzmassen fest, die als elektrische Isolierung oder mechanischer Schutz für Kabelgarnituren nach EN 50393, HD 629.1 S2 und HD 629.2 S2 für Nieder- und Mittelspannung bis 20,8/36 (42) kV eingesetzt werden. Fingerprint- und Typprüfungen an Werkstoffen sind nicht zwingend mit Typprüfungen von Garnituren verbunden. Sie müssen als eigenständige Prüfung betrachtet werden, dürfen aber auch in Kombination mit Typprüfungen von Garnituren durchgeführt werden.
