Proposes requirements for filters used in eye protectors intended to give protection against high intensity optical radiation emitted by industria l processes. Part 1 relates to active and passive filters for use during welding and provides guidance on the selection of the correct filter. Part 2 deals with filters providing protection against ultraviolet radiation and Part 3 deals with filters providing protection against infra-red radiation. Code numbers, shade numbers and transmittance requirements for the different filter uses are given in the separate Parts.
