Proposes sample preparation and gravimetric procedures for the determination of gold content in the range 0.2 percent to 30 percent in gold and gold bearing alloys where the platinum gold ratio is less than 2.5:1. The alloys must contain less than 5 percent palladium, 2 percent nickel, 1 percent platinum, 0.05 percent rhodium, 0.05 percent tungsten and 0.5 percent tin.
