Proposes guidance on the planning and implementation of occupational health and safety management principles and systems and their integration with existing management systems. It is intended for use as a voluntary, internal management tool and not for use by certification/registration bodies as a specification Standard. The format of the proposed guidelines is similar to AS/NZS ISO 14004(Int). It is anticipated that after the period of public comment, a revised draft will be put forward for adoption by the ISO as the basis for an international Standard on guidelines for occupational health and safety management systems. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
