Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 11172-4:1995, which specifies procedures to determine characteristics of coded bit-streams and to test compliance of bitstreams and decoders with the requirements specified in Parts 1, 2 and 3 of AS/NZS 4230. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. The complete text can be viewed at the Sydney and Melbourne Information Centres of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand. Arrangements can be made to view copies at other Standards Australia branches if required.
