Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 8825-1:1995, which specifies the definition of encoding rules that may be applied to values of types defined using the ASN.1 notation. It is implicit in the specification of these encoding rules that they are also to be used for decoding. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. The complete text can be viewed at the Sydney and Melbourne Information Centres of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand. Arrangements can be made to view copies at other Standards Australia branches if required.
