Proposes a single specification for steel reinforcing materials (bars, coils and welded mesh), which sets out required chemical, mechanical and physical properties for three different strength grades and ductility classes. Closely aligned technically with ISO 6935 Steel for the reinforcement of concrete and ENV 10080 Steel for the reinforcement of concrete - Weldable ribbed reinforcing steel B500. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
